I found 8 of these minature hand-knit stockings in a second-hand store, glued to a wastebasket! I think they look nicer here. :) The bells on the door jingle festively when anyone walks in.....

I have a jingle bell on my front door year-round, which is nice because I can tell if the kids are going out to the front porch. Now I need to put one on the back door...they like to sneak out to the back yard to play with the dog...or each other...or just to escape the madness inside the house!
I always put jingles on my toddlers' shoe laces, too...for obvious reasons, but it also made people smile when my child approached.
much nicer there. i put bells on my door too. i love that festive sound when anyone goes in or out. drives my teens a bit nuts, but that's ok.
