Pretty clipboard

I've always wanted to try this and I must say it was pretty easy. Attach the paper with Modpodge (or some sort of craft sealer), wait for it to dry, and then do another coat. I made a rough template for it with some cardstock paper (cutting out the clip area).

I used two sheets of paper because I liked the cutouts. But you could also use photos, momentos....oh, the possibilities. One tip: Tie the clip back with some string (so it stays open)....otherwise it will stick to the paper when it dries.

Attach a pen with a ribbon (of course) and you have a great gift! If you use it yourself, you will look mighty organized. :)

Morning Room

A beautiful room that my friend calls her "Morning Room". A place filled with sunshine, books, momentos and lovely things. A wonderful place to sit with a cup of tea and catch up on life....

Good Friday AND Good Sunday

These eggs are handpainted by Austrian art students and hang in our dining room on little branches every Easter. They're probably one of the only things in the house that I would be upset about breaking.

My (foreign) students knew that today was called Good Friday. I asked them what Sunday was called. They all looked puzzled. "Good Sunday?", they asked. Yup, Good Sunday.

Wishing you a Good Friday and a Good Sunday too. Happy Easter.

Palm frond and the blues...

One of these leaves fell off palm plant as I finally remembered to water it. I copied a girlfriend and stuck it in an old wine bottle. Viola...instant pretty.

Back to Work

This is where I was last week. At the beach. In a bathing suit.
Now it's back to work. 'wish I was still there....

Sunday Blessing

"There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God." (Hebrews 4:9)

Wishing you some rest today. Have a great Sunday!

Gift tag

We are moving soon and anything creative has pretty much taken a back burner, thus the dearth of blogs lately.
But admist all of the chaos, I am trying to get Easter "baskets" off to some college students. One of the little packages needed a gift enclosure.
From my hand-dandy stash, I pulled out some goodies and the tag came out cute, don't you think? And it cost pretty much nothing....even better!
